Tonight a very dear friend of mine lost her beautiful mother. This friend and I go way, way back. We were B.F.F.'s in high school and got into more trouble than you could imagine when we were together. We got into so much trouble at one formal dance that her mother decided that we weren't "good influences" on each other, and should probably not hang out anymore. That lasted about a week! :-)
To clarify, I'm not talkin' bad trouble, I'm talkin' teenage girls in the late seventies trouble. Can we say BOY CRAZY????? lol We had soooo much fun together and always knew that we'd be lifelong friends! No matter what! To this day, I absolutely remember that my friend was the light of her mother's life! I mean BRILLIANT, SPARKLING, MAGNIFICENT light!!! She had her kind of late in life, and always marveled and embraced each and every activity, every dance, every party, every trip to the mall; her mother was there, just enjoying being her mom!
Fast forward 30 years and my friend and I are both loving mothers; both grieving the loss of a woman who not only didn't think we were good for each other way back when, but who somehow knew that we'd be there for each other when it mattered most. R.I.P. Lois. You are loved and you will be missed.
Love you Becky.
B.F.F.
Susan
